Healing and rehabilitation

In  "Banja Kanjiža" with the help of the benefits of natural healing factors - thermomineral water and peloids, as well as modern therapeutic procedures in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation, we treat:

Characteristics of water and mud

Mineral water belongs to the category of sodium-hydrocarbonate-iodine-bromide-sulfide-alkaline hyperthermic water.

It is used as an auxiliary medicine in therapies, as well as for recreational purposes.

The depth of the well is 1,140 m, and the water temperature is 67º C.

Mineral waters of this composition are found in the wider area of the Pannonian Plain (Vojvodina, Hungary, Slovenia)

Balneotherapy

Medicinal mud is applied in the form of packaging, temperature 38-42 degrees for 20 minutes. and in the form of a mud bath with a temperature of 46 degrees for 5-15 minutes depending on the individual feeling.

This type of therapy gives outstanding results in degenerative diseases of the joints and spine, extra-articular rheumatism as well as in injured persons..

Thermomineral water is used through:
- pearl baths,
- hydrogalvanic baths,
- underwater massage and
- underwater extension, which has been used in our country for the fourth decade and is considered the only way of treatment in Serbia. Underwater extension is used to alleviate or eliminate the consequences of degenerative disease of the spine.

Electrotherapy

Treatment of painful conditions with electric current is carried out using various types of electrotherapy.

The time of therapy is individual depending on the prescribed diagnosis or is prescribed for certain forms of currents.

Galvanic Current

Indications for the use of galvanic current:

- arthrosis, arthritis (painful knees, hips, wrists)
- cervical and lumbar syndrome
- post-traumatic swelling and
- hematomas, distortions, distensions (soft tissue injuries)

Magneto therapy

The application of the electromagnetic field for therapeutic purposes is carried out by:

-low-frequency magnetic field
-high-frequency magnetic field

Magnetotherapy reduces swelling, inflammation and pain, accelerates wound healing, healing of bone fractures and tissue regeneration in injuries.

Kinezitherapy

It is one of the most important measures of medical rehabilitation of patients.

Kinesitherapy is a treatment with movement, and the goal is to establish the optimal functioning, preservation, establishment, development and replacement of the functions of the locomotor apparatus, as well as organs and systems that are functionally related to locomotion.

The goal of kinesitherapy is the maximum use of all the potentials of the treated patient with an emphasis on the optimal possible recovery of the damaged function of the locomotor system.

T-Care

T-Care therapy has a great effect on sports injuries, arthritis, lumbar pain, sciatica, neck pain, muscle lesions, ligament injuries, tendon lesions, recovery after surgery.

The T-Care device has an analgesic and thermal effect, which achieves local hyperthermia and blood flow to the tissues, which significantly speeds up the healing and recovery process.

Horizontal therapy

It involves the use of medium frequency currents with a pronounced analgesic and biostimulating effect. Application time is 25 minutes.

It has a wide field of application ... from various types of rheumatism, post-traumatic conditions, osteoporosis, metabolic changes, circulatory disorders and the like .

Diagnostic services

Measurement of bone mass density

WHAT IS OSTEOPOROSIS ? Osteoporosis is a systemic disease of bone metabolism. Generalized, progressive skeletal disease leads to a decrease in bone strength (bone quality and bone mass). It is most often manifested in the involutional form of the so-called postmenopausal, presenile or senile osteoporosis, but recently it is increasingly manifested in a secondary form, which is a consequence of diseases of other organ systems or iatrogenic, ie due to the use of certain drugs (eg corticosteroids).

OSTEOPOROSIS CABINET IN BANJA KANJIŽA
On October 1, 2006, the Cabinet for Osteoporosis in the Special Hospital for Rehabilitation "Banja-Kanjiža" started working. It is equipped with a Hologic Explorer osteodensitometer, which is used by a team of specialist doctors.

In addition to determining bone density, comprehensive counseling of patients is carried out in order to prevent disease, treatment, as well as their monitoring (laboratory determination of bone markers).

EMNG

Electromyoneurography (EMNG) is an electrodiagnostic method for examining the condition of the neuromuscular system, which can accurately determine whether there is damage to peripheral nerves and muscles and their function, and if so, the findings can indicate the cause and degree of damage, and thus the prognosis. for function recovery.

In case of damage to the cervical or dorsal roots (cervicobrachialgia and lumbosciatica), EMNG examination will determine whether there is acute nerve damage, how much they are endangered and whether further diagnosis or, possibly, consultation with a neurosurgeon is needed.
